I'm not trying to move the healthbar with code, but rather using the Game Maker editor, the object properties: Draw event, Draw GUI event, etc. And it only *seems* to happen with draw events. For the code to actually refresh and accept the new coords, I need to cut that DND, run the game so it refreshes without it, then shut it down, paste the DND back in and restart it to give it the new code. Clean button doesn't seem to do anything. Still with me? Start the game back up, it hasn't moved. (just trying to move the healthbar over 20 pixels) (health is chosen before, it ticks like it should) The problem starts when I go into the DND, change x1, y1, x2, or y2 to a different number to move the healthbar around. The code is solid, because it is what it is: simple DND. Y1 = 22 (creating the healthbar at the top left corner of the screen) Healthbar is drawn using a variable that's created at the start of the game, which doesn't matter as that's not the problem. If it's got a min and max, it can be a healthbar). Not enough information.yes, must be my fault.Ĭode works, healthbar appears, doesn't matter if object it's attached to is destroyed because this is a fresh run of the game and it's not attached to an object (not all healthbars actually are healthbars.you can use anything.gold, exp, mana, etc.
